In every session I have, I always strive to capture authentic moments between you and everyone in your family. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I preach this quite often.
As a photographer, I know the moments to grab and the gentle prompts to give clients, however, a lot of those authentic moments happen because you….yes, YOU! When the client comes to their session with a positive and relaxed attitude, true magic happens. I’ll give you an example with this family right here. When I tell you this family brought it. They BROUGHT IT. And the thing is they probably didn’t even know they did.
Bring your Personality to your session
At the beginning of this session Ashley told me that they really just wanted a lot of interaction and that is exactly what they got. They were relaxed and just were simply themselves and look. at. what. we. got. SO MUCH PERSONALITY!!
Look, I know all of you play silly games and sing songs with your kids at home, so just have fun and do that in your session. So there’s the secret….just be YOU!!!
How to prep and what to expect for your shoot:
We will play games, have tickle fights, and tell jokes if we need to. I will even make animal and fart noises(#truth)!! I also come with my phone, so I love to play music to relax and have fun. Music is almost always a winner in terms of bringing out personality.
The best thing to do is come prepared with a couple songs and games that you and your kids typically enjoy. I will do whatever it takes to get the shot!

Having Fun on your Photoshoot is the #1 goal:
Towards the end of your session, if we feel like it, we can let the kids loose! Let those kids, just be kids…and I will keep capturing those moments.
